Katherine Heigl is open about her childhood in "a White bubble." She also explains the impact that this realization has had on the way she raises adoptees who are multi-racial. She is the "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress revealed in a recent interview that in regards to skin color -- it wasn't a factor for her the way she looked, but after she spoke about her sister's age, whom she taken in from South Korea, she realized how different society treated each of both. Heigl admitted to her parents that this made her realize how naive she had been. She admitted that she was angry however she was also aware of the need to use this anger to help her daughters. Heigl is with Josh Kelley for 13 years they have a son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. The couple took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8), who is black, in 2009.
