Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. Some of her early Broadway shows included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashley is a Tony Award winning actor and actress, has worked with directors and actors on stage and screen for her entire career. Ashford is next seen opposite Kumail Nannjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford's current project is Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. It's also available as an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford will return to Broadway in March 2023, in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the musical. Ashford was most recently seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as the central figure in the first impeachment proceeding in America during the Over a Century. Ashford was the main character in two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive. Created by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the show also starred famous performers Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No stranger to Broadway Ashford was awarded the Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her portrayal of Essie In You Can't Take It with You. She has also been on Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde and the first character as Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for the Tony Award. Ashford is from the city of Denver resident who splits her time between Los Angeles.
